General Agents Tim McGinn and Donna Davis completed the National Association of Health Underwriters course on CDHC on October 29th in Atlanta, GA. The “Consumer Driven Health Care” Certification which requires a mandatory four hour course as well as an examination is the premier course for agents specializing in health insurance programs.
The course trains agents in several key aspects such as;
· Current regulations and laws on Consumer-directed health care options, including Health Savings Accounts ( HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs).
· Communication methods and strategies for implementing CDHC employer programs.
· Considers current and projected adoption of programs.
· Comprehensive guidance on eligibility, contributions and all technical elements.
· Class breakout sessions on hypothetical cases.
As active members of the National Association of Health Underwriters we feel strongly about the Consumer Driven Health Care movement. As interest and enrollment continue to grow it is important for employers and individuals to partner with insurance brokers who understand these programs and can guide them through the process.
